Here's an opportunity to work with authentic Aso Oke, the handwoven textile of the Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria. Traditionally used for ceremonial attire, Aso Oke (Ah-shaw Oh-kay) is crafted on narrow looms in long strips, later sewn together to make garments, headwraps, and accessories. Each piece embodies generations of artistry, storytelling, and cultural heritage.

These offcuts come from the cut-and-sew process, giving you a piece of the same exquisite fabric used in Yoruba garments.

What’s Inside?

Each bundle includes strips with two distinct weaving patterns:

• Black & yellow
• Black & yellow with a blue center stripe

Both designs are woven with subtle metallic gold threads for just a hint of shimmer. Some pieces also feature decorative white embroidery, adding extra texture and depth.

Widths vary slightly, but most strips measure approximately 4" (10.2 cm) wide. Some bundles contain angled cuts, but all include a majority of intact strips.
